The site uses the supplied aggregate files derived from public NHTSA vehicle and recall records. Vehicle pages are generated only for make, model, and model-year combinations with at least one recall record. Recall summaries, consequences, and remedies are displayed from the collected source text without paraphrasing.
A vehicle-campaign record is one campaign listed for one make, model, and model year. When a campaign applies to several vehicles, it can appear in several vehicle records. The campaign index groups matching campaign identifiers; campaign totals and vehicle-campaign totals therefore use different counting units.
Component distribution groups detailed component values by the first segment before a colon when a precomputed aggregate is not available. Shares divide each component count by the vehicle record campaign count and are rounded to one decimal place. The timeline groups records by notice date calendar year, which can differ from vehicle model year.
Same-make comparisons include vehicle records in the same model year that are present in this collection. The displayed average is the arithmetic mean of those record counts, including the current vehicle. It is descriptive context, not a risk score, defect probability, or safety ranking.
The data retrieval date recorded in this build is 2026-11-01. A static snapshot may not include later corrections or notices. This site does not query VIN eligibility, repair completion, or current campaign status. Verify those details through official NHTSA resources and the manufacturer.
